Monochromatic Card – Rose Gold

Oh, I’m excited to share this card. It’s so pretty. Honestly, the photos don’t do it justice.

This was created for A Place to Start’s challenge – Anything Goes w/Optional Twist: Color Challenge: Pick A Palette – Monochrome.

I had created another card using Altenew’s Zero Waste 3D Floral Cover Die, and I used some brushed Rose Gold cardstock, as well as some Topaz Glitter cardstock, and thought they really made a good match. I had a lot of pieces left over and with the brushed rose gold and topaz working so well together, I made a monochromatic card.

Now the background took a bit more thought, as I didn’t want to use brushed rose gold or the glitter, because it would just be too much. I pulled out some light pink cardstock (I think it’s from Simon Says Stamp), but it was just too pink and didn’t look right. I put some of my thick vellum on top of the pink cardstock, which muted the pink a bit, and voila! The perfect background.
