3D Alphabet Dies with SSS Look for the Rainbows

Here’s a card I made with the Simon Says Stamp stamp set (new to me) Look for the Rainbows. I’m really impressed with this stamp set and the versatility of it. There’s a lot you can do with this stamp set, which is one of the reasons I love Simon Says Stamp. Their sets are almost always really impressive.

The real attraction is the large letters spelling the word DAY. I love this design, as it allows me to stamp, colour and die cut with one card for any occasion. There are so many possibilities and variations.

Coloured using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens

Other supplies used in making this card are Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens which I LOVE. As I always say, I’m no artist but these pens allow me to colour anything and make it look pretty good. I will note, Bristol 300 Smooth is the best paper to use with these pens. I’ve used these on cardstock and Ranger’s Distress Watercolor Cardstock with decent results, but the Bristol gives me the best results, as it allows the water pen to move the colour around the page.

There are a lot of alphabet die sets on the market, from Altenew to Spellbinders to a no-name brands on Amazon so any set will do.

So after I made this card, I wanted to do another one but change the colours and the large word. I made a big oopsy. Instead of lining up my die letters on the panel and then adding my post-it tape (to run through the machin), I decided I would just line them up on the posted tape and run them through. Well, I forgot one major step, and that was to reverse the word on my tape.

On the left, you can see how I wasted a panel I coloured and there’s no recovery for this. No amount of bling can cover this! I did my stamping and colouring again and made a beautiful thank you card.

OOPS!!!

Here’s the video of how I made my card with 3D letters.
