October Challenge (Christmas) Tags

So I completed another challenge with Altenew and I loooove what I came up with. Instead of doing a card, I thought I would get ready for Christmas and create some tags, cause that holiday always sneaks up on me.

Supplies

  • Mistletoe Wreath Stencils
  • Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink
  • Puffy Heart, and Buttercream dye ink

The Tags

So here is the inspiration image for this project.

You can find more information here.

I feel like my tags don’t really match the inspiration, but, this is an ‘inspiration’ image and this is what I came up with. 😊

White Pigment Ink

I only had one (letter sized) sheet of this green paper and I was able to make 8 tags. I didn’t want to use my small ink cube to color white paper, as that would have used up a lot of ink. I used white pigment ink for the entire image, and topped up the berries with dye ink, but the color is quite light. I’m ok with this, as I love how these turned out.

I was a little worried about using the white pigment ink to stamp my sentiment, as you can get blotches if you use too much, or the stamped image looks washed out if you don’t use enough. You gotta hit the sweet spot and I nailed it.

I decided to try my new dew drops, and worried they might not work on a Christmas card, but I think they look great!
