Sympathy Card – Stamping on Black Cardstock

Welcome back, all. I really like the design of this card with the black on black. The distress oxide inks make it easy to stamp on the black cardstock, as they’re more of a pigmant ink.

I used a layering stamp, which I had to dry in between layers, so there was a bit more time and attention paid to each layer.

Supplies

  • Altenew’s Remember This Stamp & Die Bundle
  • Heffy Doodle – Classic Sentiments
  • Distress Oxide Inks
  • Versamark Ink Clear and Versafine Onyx Black
  • White and Clear Embossing Powder
  • Black Cardstock

The Card

After stamping my layers, drying them and stamping my outline in Onyx Black, I used clear embossing powder to set the black and give the flowers and leaves more dimension.

A Closer Look

I stamped my sentiment on my panel with clear Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then die cut the stamped images and laid them out on my panel. I lifted one flower and a couple sets of leaves with foam tape adding more dimension.
