Conical Warp in Silhouette Studio

So summer will be upon us soon, (woohoo, ok not soon, but I’m already thinking about it) which means me and my family will be heading out camping, and this year, I want to make sure I’ve got the gear to go with it. I’ve created a few graphics, but the one I’m going to demonstrate here will be the ‘Happy Camper’.

Happy Camper

This post is about using the Conical Warp in Silhouette Design Studio Plus. You have to have the ‘Plus‘ or ‘Business‘ in order to have access to the Conical Warp.

What is Conical Warp?

Before Conical Warp

Notice in the graphic below – the graphic looks different than the graphic above. The words and trailer look slightly warped? This is done in order to accommodate the size and curvature of my to-go mug.

After Conical Warp

This function is found in the Silhouette Design Studio (make sure you have the correct level to get access) and allows you to change the graphic you’re going to cut to match the angle, shape and size of your mug or glass.

I’m not going to go into much more detail here, as I do have it on video which goes through the steps I took to make this graphic for my to-go mug.

This is a great feature and one I want to use more often in the future. I look forward to more personalized mugs.
