Another Dragonfly Card with Pink Ink Designs – Slimline

I’ve got another dragonfly card here with Pink Ink Designs stamp set. I decided to try a slimline card cause it’s all the rage right now, and used the (new to me) stamp set by Altenew – Wallpaper Art. I’m in love with this set too – stunning flowers.

I love how this card turned out. So vibrant and full of colour.

Supplies Used

  • Pink Ink Designs Dragonfly Stamp Set
  • Altenew Wallpaper Art Stamp Set
  • Zig Real Brush Markers
  • Archival Ink Jet Black
  • Spectrum Noir Sparkle Glitter Brush Pen
  • Bristol 300 Smooth Paper

The Card

This is my first slimline card, and of course I screwed up the size of my panel, which I didn’t notice till I went to put it on my card base. I had cut a panel before this, which was the proper size, but I started over and somehow missed the proper length. I think I did a pretty good job saving the card, though.

I stamped the dragonfly again and fussy cut the wings. I coloured them the same as the stamped wings on my panel. I added the second set of wings with Therm O Web – Memory Zots. This allowed my wings to sit tight at the body but come up at the tips.

The Details

I used my glitter pen to add some sparkle to both sets of wings. I also used a light pink Zig marker to shade the outline of all my images. I’ve never seen this colour used for this purpose, but I’m really happy with the look.

In order to save all the work I did, I found a scrap piece of paper and attached it on the end of my card panel. I added a long banner with a sentiment, which allowed me to cover where the panel and extra paper connect.

The Cover-Up

So that’s it! I’m still really excited about this stamp set…and I still have so many designs to try. 😊
