I was recently accepted to Altenew’s Certificate Program and All About Layering 1 is my first class. Altenew does a wonderful job of creating beautiful layered-flower stamp sets, and I welcome any excuse to use them. So this card will be my submission for this class.
Below, I’ll review one technique I like to utilize when using layered stamps that saves me a ton of time and gives me great results!

Supplies
- Altenew’s Remember This Stamp & Die Bundle
- Happy Pomegranates Sentiments
- Altenew Dark Night , Nimbus, Cloudy Sky, Misty Morning Crisp Dye Ink
- Altenew Permanent Black Crisp Dye Ink
- Gina K’s Jelly Bean Green, Lovely Lavender, Fresh Asparagus
- Darice Background Die – Geometric
- Avery Temporary Labels
The Card
I used a background die and cut it out on Avery temporary labels, and used this as a stencil for my card panel. With a blending brush, I added ink over my DIY stencil, which gave a beautiful, subtle background for my flowers.

For the technique I mentioned earlier, I pulled out my Stamparatus. This was my first stamp positioner and it’s a handy one for layered stamps. In total, I was able to put 7 stamps on my postioner. I have two folding doors that I’m able to remove and turn over and position stamps on the other side. You’ll notice in the picture below, I’m able to fit all 4 of my flower layers AND all 3 of my leaf layers.
The Stamparatus isn’t my go-to positioner, as it’s a bit bulky, but it’s a high quality tool and the real star of this creation.

I stamped my “Happy Birthday” sentiment (from Happy Pomegranates stamp set) in black, and added some splatter using Dark Night ink with a few drops of water.

The Finished Card

I have another layered class I’ve completed, so another layered card is in the near future for All About Layering 2
