Well hello, fellow crafters! Welcome to Altenew’s January 2026 release blog hop.
I created a couple projects specially for this post. I hope your eyes enjoy them. 😍
For the first project used Pop-It-Up: Blooming Hydrangea Stamp & Die Set, with Stellar Sequins – Shimmering Pool. These Pool sequins are stunning to the naked eye. The camera doesn’t seem to capture all the shimmer and shades these sequins show.
For the leaves and sentiment, I used Chasing Shadows Fresh Dye Inks. I stamped the leaves in Marble Dust and used all the shades, except Iron Gate, to color in the leaves and stems. I smooshed the inks on my glass mat, and used a little water and a paint brush to add some lines to the leaves. I was careful, as the cardstock is a standard 80lb cardstock – not watercolor paper. Once I was done painting the leaves and stem, I stamped the image again with the Coastal Fog.
I used blue cardstock with blue ink for the flower petals…and if I have to add small centers to the petals, I’m going to make them shine by adding sequins!!
This next project was an idea I wanted to test – pouring sequins! I used the largest vase from Earthenware Vases Die Set and positioned it like I was pouring from the vase. I used the stunning Stellar Sequins – Rose Gold to accomplish this.
My vase and sentiment were die cut using Crafty Necessities: Sandy Blush Cardstock, which pairs perfectly with the Rose Gold sequins. 😁
The hardest part about this ‘test’ was finding the right sentiment. The Tranquil Greetings rarely let me down.
Ok, lets move on to the other reason you’re here – the giveaway – $300 in total prizes!

How genius to make a pitcher pouring “water” but using sequins for the water! Love it. The marble dust ink for the leaves in your first card is such a lovely color. Must add it to my wishlist. I like leaves that are done in unusual colors and the marble dust goes so well with the blue flowers.
