Hello, crafters!!
I’m loving this project. There is something truly satisfying about taking simple paper and transforming it into something that feels like an heirloom. Today’s project was created using Altenew’s October Inspiration Challenge. 😊
While my heart leans toward soft, sun-drenched pastels, I decided to pair these delicate hues with a striking background of deep black. The contrast is pure drama, yet the overall feel remains comforting and authentically vintage.

The real star of this arrangement isn’t only the flowers — it’s the vase! I used a die from Versatile Vases and cut from a white cardstock, but before adhering it, I ran it through Leafy Splendor embossing folder with a little Warm Sunshine Pigment Ink. This detail instantly elevates the paper into something that resembles antique, sculpted porcelain, textured stoneware.

To create the bouquet, I used Mix Foliage Layering Die Set, and ink blended the flowers – sticking to the colors in the inspiration image. I focused on blending to create gradient colors to give them that perfectly imperfect, natural variation

Jennifer, this card has everything! The vase does look delicate and special whilst those flowers just pop! So very pretty!
