Altenew February 2025 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway – $300 in Total Prizes!

Hello, crafty friends! I am so excited to be a part of Altenew’s February Release. This release is absolutely amazing!

The project below is a beautiful dove from the Creative Cuts: Doves in Flight Layering Die Set, and this bird is huge – I love it!!!

This project was pretty easy. I don’t have any cloud stencils so I used torn copy-paper in different positions to create my clouds. I used the Cloud White Pigment Ink on Misty Morning Cardstock. I love how they turned out.

I die cut the large dove from Creative Cuts: Doves in Flight Layering Die Set and used some ink for the feet and the beak. Kinda nice having minimal ink blending. 😊

I don’t know how Altenew does it, but their Mini Delight Stamp & Die Sets never disappoint – February’s is no different.

I stamped the flower cluster and used it for the background of my shaker. I just couldn’t help myself, I had to make a shaker balloon!

This next project I used the beautiful Serene Garden embossing folder. I pulled out some purple paper and planed on adding some color, but I thought it would work on it’s own with a simple sentiment and large black border. I think it’s a beautiful CAS card.

  1. GREAT MAKES! Your dove card and the shaker balloon are fabulous. I love the Serene Garden one, too. The idea of tomorrow being a new day and the ‘blank slate’ of the CAS card really go together. Your work is synonymous with elegance!

  4. Love your cards! The dove is so beautiful against the blue sky background you made. What a fun idea to use the hot air balloon for a shaker card. And that embossing folder…..forget about it! It is so pretty and I want it and the stencils that can color it!

  7. Hmm I am having some trouble posting comments today. If this is a double I apologize. I am glad to see Altenew is doing layering die animals as well as flowers.

  9. Sending Love is so beautiful. I would like to make this as a Sympathy card. But it is versatile–there are so many reasons I might want to send “love”.
