Crafting A Stunning Christmas Card

Hello, fellow crafters.

This project was created for A Place to Start’s December Challenge – Anything goes w/Optional Twist: HAPPY HOLIDAYS (Any Holiday)!

I love making Christmas cards and this is one of my favorites – so far. Lots of time left to make a few more faves.

I love how this turned out. This is a layering stamp set, which you don’t see too much anymore, as most come with stencils now. For the poinsettia, I used a bright red (Heart Beat) for the full stamp image. Then, I applied the darker red (Berry Mocha) for the detailed layer. I was happy with the impressions I made. Then, I came back in with the Heart Beat and stamped the detailed lines – this gave me a more subtle look. Instead of using the layered stamps for the center, I used some alcohol markers. I found this took far less time than setting up those layering stamps.

This poinsettia was adhered to the top of an oval wreath made of die cut twigs, and boy, this creates a stunning backdrop for the poinsettia.

Stamped a simple sentiment, as you don’t need anything flashy for this project.
