Happy Folds

Welcome back, and happy new year!!!

Whew! As much as I love the holidays, it is a relief when they’re over.

For this post, I’ve got 2 gate fold cards to share, and of course, one is about love, as the heart day will sneak up on us soon enough.

Both cards were created with A Place to Start’s challenge in mind – Anything Goes with optional twist – Gatefold Card.

For the first card, I created a little shaker with the word LOVE, and a small ‘you’ die cut to sit on top. I wanted the ‘you’ to be subtle and small.

I made an effort to ensure the stenciling matched when open and when closed for each side.

The next card was created while trying out my new supplies – Billowing Peonies. This set is gigantuous! One of my fellow crafters made a comment that I had no idea how big this set was, and she was right! This set is so big, I’m using the packaging it came in to store it. When I say packaging, I mean the bubble envelope.

With that said, this is a stunning set by Altenew. These flowers are huge and beautiful.

I created a bellyband out of vellum, and added some Dazzling Diamond cardstock to the edge for a bit more interest.
