Hello, crafters. This is an extension to my youtube video as an Altenew Ambassador.
When working with Altenew’s new creative labels and craft-a-flower sunflowers, I’ll walk you through a complete card-making journey that transforms simple die cuts into something truly stunning. The secret? Those embossed numbers and triangles on the layering guides (seriously, they make alignment so much easier).

I’ll demonstrate ink blending with honey drizzle, deep spice, redwood, and black to build dimension in the flower centers, while varying shades of green and yellow bring the leaves to life. After carefully stacking the die-cut pieces, I’ll create a dramatic black background using white embossing powder and heat-setting techniques.

I’ll use black foam for dimension without overwhelming the eye, shape the petals subtly, and position everything to frame the sentiment beautifully.
What should you focus on when arranging your floral elements? I encourage you to trust your instincts rather than overthinking placement decisions. With a final touch of white gouache splatter, the card comes together as an elegant piece meant for someone special—proving that confidence in your design choices often yields the best results.

Watch the video to discover the complete process for creating this dimensional masterpiece.
