Altenew – July 2025 Release

Hello, fellow crafters!

Today, I’m so excited to share a card that really captures that magic: it’s got these gorgeous glittery gift boxes, delicate leafy bits, and a super elegant wax seal. This project really shows how a few basic techniques, paired with some amazing crafting goodies, can come together to make something truly luxurious and heartfelt. I hope this project inspires you to add that extra touch to your own projects!

First up, let’s talk about those dazzling gift boxes! They’re definitely the stars of the show on this card, with the gift boxes in sparkling Glitter Cardstock – Sapphire and the Glitter Cardstock – Moonstone. I just love how glitter instantly makes something feel precious and celebratory, don’t you?

Die-cutting is one of my go-to techniques in card making because it lets you get those super precise, intricate shapes. And die cutting glitter? Oh my goodness, they become so eye-catching, adding both sparkle and a lovely texture to your project!

It’s amazing how a little sparkle can totally change the feel of a design, making every detail feel so much more special and heartfelt.

Now, let’s talk about those lovely die-cut leafy bits and those tiny, scattered embellishments cut from Glitter Cardstock – Moonstone.. They might seem subtle, but they really make a big impact! They’re not just there to fill space; they’re carefully placed to add depth, balance, and tie the whole theme together.

Altenew has some fantastic leafy die sets that are perfect for creating these intricate botanical touches. I often reach for sets like this one – Zero-Waste: Ornamental Winter Pattern Die, because they offer so many shapes and sizes. They’re great for framing your main elements or just adding some beautiful organic texture.

And for that touch of classic sophistication? I added that gorgeous blue wax seal, beautifully embossed with “A GIFT FOR YOU.” This little detail just instantly elevates the whole card, giving it that traditional, luxurious feel that I absolutely adore!
